We truly couldn’t have asked for a better guide than our doula than Angie Meadows. Her calm, steady presence gave us so much strength through every moment of labor, birth, and beyond. Angie stayed by our side through the entire process—coaching us, comforting us, sleeping at the hospital, and helping us navigate each step with confidence. She was not only our support system but also our teacher. She was great with postpartum care and helped guide us to successfully breastfeed with over 2 years of success. We felt so loved, and ready to begin this new chapter as a family by the time she had to leave us. We are forever grateful for her hand having been in our families first labor, delivery, and postpartum experiences. 10/10 would recommend her to anyone looking for a doula to enhance your experience and bring less stress to your special intimate moments.

I sought a doula who could bring a nurturing, motherly energy to my experience, and Angie exceeded all my expectations. Throughout my labor, she was incredibly attuned to my needs—present when necessary, yet fading into the background when it was appropriate. I never once felt the need for her to be anywhere else. She intuitively knew how to support me, guiding my husband and me into positions that helped manage the pressures of natural labor. Angie combined kindness and firmness when I was wavering, especially when I struggled to leave the birthing tub despite not progressing. She gently reminded me of my goals for a home birth and provided the guidance I needed to make that vision a reality. Her encouragement and recommendations were absolutely essential in helping me achieve the birth I had hoped for. She worked seamlessly with the rest of my birth team, always contributing as an equal partner.

One of the most meaningful aspects of Angie’s support during my delivery was how she included my husband in the experience. She ensured that he felt valued, recognized, and important, empowering him to actively support me while also staying deeply connected to the journey. Angie also took care of the small but significant details, like remembering my request for lemon essential oil under my nose during contractions. This simple, thoughtful gesture brought me immense peace and comfort during the intensity of a contraction and highlights the level of care she offered in every moment.

Beyond her birth support, Angie became like family to us during the postpartum period. Her care was extraordinary. She gave me the gift of rest by caring for my baby, allowing me to focus on recovery. When my daughter needed sun therapy for jaundice, Angie took her outside. If she needed to be bathed, Angie would bathe and then rock her to sleep. She ensured she was well cared for. On days when I needed rest, once my daughter was asleep, Angie would clean my home, do laundry, cook meals, and even prep vegetables for our freezer. When I wasn’t in the mood for rest, Angie matched my energy, helping me organize and rearrange things around the house—everything from my home gym to my daughter’s dressers. It didn't hurt that we spent most of that time together laughing and sharing stories.

Angie’s support went far beyond what I could have expected. I am so grateful that I chose to continue her care through the postpartum period—it truly made all the difference for me and my family. As I write this, I find myself tearing up because Angie’s presence in our lives has been a true gift, and we are so sad she is no longer near us in Tennessee. I wholeheartedly recommend her to anyone in need of a compassionate, dedicated doula who provides holistic and thoughtful care, easing the transition into parenthood with love, friendship, and unwavering support.

With this being our first kiddo and a little nervous about the birthing process we knew we were going to need additional support. Angie was the best choice for that job. The calming presence she brings to the room and joyful spirit is unmatched. She was an advocate for me the whole way through. I was adamant about going all natural to include no pitocin. Having needing a jump start in the beginning with a foley bulb, every nurse and doctor that walked in that room suggested pitocin. While Angie allowed me to voice my concern/opinions she was also that second voice in the room to back me and my husband up. Not only was she amazing with me but also encouraged my husband to be hands on and taught him how to help me through ALL contractions. My labor lasted a grueling 36 hours with 1 hour of push time and she remained positive and encouraging throughout the whole affair.

Postpartum: I personally don't think I would have made it through the first week without Angie by my side. While my husband is amazing, let's be honest he has never pushed a baby out or breastfed one, Angie was there to give words of encouragement and wisdom. She sat up with me one night until 4 in the morning because my son would not stop crying because of breastfeeding challenges. She took him from my arms as I sobbed and told me to go sleep and she would care for Ellison. That is a night I will never forget. She made me feel seen and validated my emotions and took care of me, something I couldn’t do at that moment. To say Angie is the best in the business would be an understatement.
